As I am sadly approaching the end of my tenure here in this “the emerald island”, inhabited by the most friendly people, I would like to thank all the colleagues in the Department of Foreign Affairs as well as all the Irish authorities with whom we are closely cooperating, for their support and cooperation extended to our Embassy, which I am sure, will continue during the tenure of my successor. Special thanks also to the Ambassadors of Ireland in Ankara, first H.E. Mr. Brendan Ward and now H.E. Ms. Sonya McGuinness and all the colleagues in the Embassy of Ireland in Ankara, for their cooperation, support and solidarity, which greatly facilitated our job.
